Responsibilities:

  • Works in a manner consistent with company values.

  • Knowledge of Enventure’s Health, Safety, Security, Environmental and Quality procedures, and processes.
  • Observe and follow operational and QHSSE processes and procedures, and participation in behavior-based safety initiatives (Observations program) and hazard/risk mitigation (e.g., Job Safety Analysis).
  • Performs various inspections, as required based on QC functional role (e.g., dimensional, visual, NDE, coating).
  • Performs dimensional inspections based on functional role using, for example, OD/ID micrometers, groove micrometers, a Faro arm, thread gauges, calipers, and depth gauges.
  • Performs visual inspections of API, premium, and non-premium threads.
  • Performs coating inspections on tubulars using a mil thickness gauge.
  • Generates inspection activity reports as prescribed.
  • Completes documentation necessary to attest to satisfactory completion of inspection or test reporting.
  • Resolves basic questions and report conditions and/or non-conformance to known standards.
  • Reviews supporting documentation to compare specifications to MTRs or other supplier documentation to ensure compliance.
  • Communicates with customer third party inspection, if necessary for role (e.g., Assembly Inspector).
  • Generates and processes detailed Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), Internal Corrective Action Reports (CAR), or Supplier Corrective Action Reports (SCAR), and responds accordingly.
  • Travels and performs inspections or other tasks at remote locations, as required.
  • Performs other tasks as prescribed by Supervisor/Manager
  • Review, approved and sign quality documentation (including EGT QC / Customer / TPI forms/ final inspection documents) in accordance with company quality standards and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure all approvals are documented accurately and maintained as per internal procedures.
  • Verify compliance of final inspection records before authorization

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years:
  • Quality Assurance and/or Control (QA/QC) experience, including documentation of quality procedures and quality inspection activities (preferred).
  • Experience working with Enventure products and/or the oil/gas industry (preferred).
  • Depending on functional role needs, inspector should possess an MPI (Level II Certification) and/or Dimensional and/or Thread Inspection experience/certification, which usually includes 3-5 years’ experience.
  • Minimum high school diploma or general education diploma qualification preferred; post-secondary certificate, diploma or degree from an accredited technical school or college or equivalent experience supported by applicable certification preferred.

Other Experience:

  • Understands basic geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) concepts according to functional role needs.
  • Experience supporting an internal/external calibration system according to functional role needs.
  • Basic technical knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials appropriate to area.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and understanding of software systems.
  • Proficient in generating reports.
  • Knowledgeable in documentation control procedures (e.g., organization of product doc-pack, MTRs, heat treat, and coating)
  • Possesses knowledge of casing (e.g., sizes, serialization, MTRs, threading, trace list/doc-pack)
  • Trained/certified in Forklift and/or crane operation (preferred).
  • Training in product movement safety practices/procedures.

Competent in relevant QC functional areas, depending on role (e.g., assembly, NDE, dimensional and visual inspections, thread inspections, FAI, coating inspections)

Role-Specific Knowledge/Competencies:

  • Use of precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, height gages, calipers, dial indicators, bore gages, etc.
  • Capable of determining and operating necessary the tools and equipment needed to do QA/QC Inspector tasks/job. Reading, reviewing, and properly interpreting documents and prints to ensure compliance and selection of most effective method.
  • Depending on functional QC role, inspector may need to be capable of conducting magnetic particle and knowledge of penetrant testing of parts (e.g., assembly/return, NDT).
  • Able to transfer knowledge of inspection functions to others.
  • Acts as an effective communicator with established interpersonal skills.
  • Possesses a demonstrable customer service focus.
  • Demonstrates organizational and time management skills, and adaptability when job priorities change.
  • Participates and shows compliance with operations and QHSSE procedures.
  • Capable of working under general supervision and from detailed verbal and written instructions.
