Position Summary
Enventure is seeking an Shop Technician to support assembly, testing, and maintenance of prototype and commercial downhole tools. This role plays a critical part in product testing, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement while upholding the highest safety and quality standards.
The Shop Technician contributes directly to new product enhancements, R&D initiatives, and cost-effective operational execution within our testing facility.

Position Summary
Enventure is seeking an Shop Technician to support assembly, testing, and maintenance of prototype and commercial downhole tools. This role plays a critical part in product testing, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement while upholding the highest safety and quality standards.
The Shop Technician contributes directly to new product enhancements, R&D initiatives, and cost-effective operational execution within our testing facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pressure, thermal, force, and load testing using various test mediums (water, gases, drilling fluids, hydraulic oils, high-temperature fluids).
- Assemble, disassemble, and maintain prototype and commercial downhole tools.
- Operate and calibrate test equipment (pumps, presses, strain gages, data acquisition systems).
- Operate hand power tools, forklifts, and overhead cranes safely.
- Maintain test facility cleanliness and safety compliance.
- Document test results and calibration records accurately.
- Assist Engineering in developing assembly and maintenance procedures.
- Participate in behavior-based safety programs and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and HSSE teams.
- Provide input for product and design improvements.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Technical diploma/certification preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in assembly, repair, maintenance, and testing of downhole oilfield equipment.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Experience operating cranes, forklifts, and mechanical/electrical equipment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Self-starter with sound judgment and strong safety mindset.
Working Conditions
- Physically demanding role involving lifting (up to 80 lbs occasionally).
- Exposure to testing environments, noise, chemicals, high-pressure systems, and outdoor conditions (high temperature, heat) .
- May require extended hours and on-call support.
